When a Training Item is revised, such as in the case of a revised Procedure, Work Instruction, etc., the training item revision process allows for the expiration of all training records linked to the current revision or to copy of the current training records to the new revision, and maintain current expiration dates.

This is convenient when the new revision release does not warrant new training.

In addition, the revision process obsoletes the current Training Item revision level and adds a new Training Item at the new revision level.
